Rates & Fees
Our rate is derived from the live USDTINR price on CoinDCX, India's largest regulated exchange. We apply a 3% spread: sell rate (you sell USDT to us) = market price × 0.97. Buy rate (you buy USDT from us) = market price × 1.03. The rate auto-refreshes every 60 seconds on our site.
No. The only cost is the 3% spread already built into the quoted rate. There are no deposit fees, withdrawal fees, IMPS charges, or service taxes added. What you see on the calculator is what you get in your bank account.
The USDT to INR rate reflects the USD/INR exchange rate, typically ₹83–₹86 per USDT in 2026. Our sell rate for 1 USDT is approximately 3% less than this. Check our homepage live widget for the exact current rate updated every 60 seconds.
Networks & Technical
USDtoCash.live supports USDT on: TRC-20 (Tron — lowest fees, fastest, recommended), ERC-20 (Ethereum — higher gas fees), BEP-20 (BNB Smart Chain), and Polygon (MATIC network). Always confirm the network shown in your order before sending.
Sending on the wrong network (e.g., ERC-20 USDT to a TRC-20 address) can result in permanent loss of funds. Always verify the network before sending. If you believe you sent on the wrong network, contact us immediately on WhatsApp with your transaction hash — in some cases recovery may be possible.
TRC-20 USDT on the Tron network has near-zero transaction fees (less than $0.10), confirms in 1–3 minutes, and is the most widely used USDT network globally. ERC-20 on Ethereum can cost $5–$50 in gas fees and take 10–15 minutes during busy periods. For USDT exchange, TRC-20 is the most efficient choice.
Legality & Compliance
Yes. Under India's Virtual Digital Assets (VDA) framework (Finance Act 2022, Section 2(47A)), USDT is a legally recognised Virtual Digital Asset. Exchanging USDT for INR is legal and subject to 30% flat tax on profits and 1% TDS on transactions above ₹10,000 (₹50,000 for specified persons). USDtoCash.live operates as a compliant OTC exchange. See our Compliance page for details.
For amounts below ₹50,000 per transaction, basic verification (mobile number + bank account) is sufficient. For regular trading or larger transactions, PAN card verification may be required. Full Aadhaar + PAN KYC is required for transactions above ₹2 lakh in compliance with Indian AML guidelines.
Under Section 115BBH of the Income Tax Act, profits from USDT exchange are taxed at 30% flat rate (plus 4% cess = 31.2%). Losses cannot be offset against other income. A 1% TDS is deducted at source on eligible transactions. You must report crypto income in ITR-2 or ITR-3 under "Income from Virtual Digital Assets." Consult a CA for personalised tax advice.
Payout Methods

Yes. Cash pickup or delivery is available in 25+ cities including Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, and Kolkata. Select "Cash" during order creation. Cash is typically arranged within 30–60 minutes of USDT confirmation. A WhatsApp agent will coordinate delivery or pickup location with you.
Yes. NRIs can receive payouts in NRE or NRO accounts via IMPS/NEFT. Note that VDA income may be taxable in both India and your country of residence. We recommend consulting a tax advisor for cross-border crypto transactions.
OTC vs P2P
OTC (like USDtoCash.live): Fixed quoted rate, instant settlement with the platform, no counterparty risk, dedicated support, faster for large amounts. P2P (like Binance P2P): Buyer-seller matched rates, longer wait times, dispute risk, account freezing issues common in India. OTC is recommended for amounts above $500 and for users who value speed and certainty. See our full comparison →
Indian banks have been flagging and freezing accounts involved in P2P crypto transactions due to AML concerns and RBI advisories. When funds are transferred from unknown third parties (other P2P users), banks treat these as suspicious. OTC services like USDtoCash.live transfer from a known business account, significantly reducing the risk of account freezes.
